The Fabulous 5s @ Menzies Creek

WOW! The fete is over for another year and it was a lot of fun. Everyone helped to make it a special day and lots of fun was had by all. We would like to say thank you to all the people who contributed to the day and made it such a success. The stalls, food, entertainment and fireworks were fabulous. Now we have raised some more funds to spend on special things for our school! WELL DONE EVERYONE!

CURTIS:  Wow the school fete was awesome. Michael, Ben, Harry and I and some other kids had lots of fun on the rides. They were awesome too. I reckon the grade 5T stall was the best . It was called lucky squares. I think it was the best fete ever plus the fireworks were great. The explosions gave a bright colour in the sky it was a beautiful scene. I liked the fireworks so much i can’t wait till next years fete!

It has been great to see the way everyone has “taken up the challenge” and is working so well on their My Restaurant Rules activities. We have been busy researching about different countries, finding out about their culture and cuisine and putting together some great group projects. All students will be presenting their work on Thursday 13th November. The class have also been creating some wonderful business cards and menus for their restaurants. They have been very creative.

This week we have also been revising work on perimeter and area as well as taking another look at certain areas of fractions, decimals and percentages. There has been lots of work happening, including some great narrative writing and mosiac art creations too.   WELL DONE EVERYONE!
